About Dan Chen

Daniel is an artist who creates in the world of commerce. After graduating from Emily Carr University of Art and Design, he started numerous companies from design consultation to catering. Being an entrepreneur, he has learned that business and branding are two of the same.

In 2008, he founded Stuck Studios Inc., a brand consultancy firm that helps businesses pursue convicted dreams through storytelling, design and strategic planning. In the subjects of branding and marketing, Dan has taught at various post-secondary institutions, including the Vancouver Art & Design and at University Canada West. He has spoken as a brand expert for multiple events and organizations such as Nehemiah Week, YVR Internet Marketing Conference and Richmond Chamber of Commerce.

Recently in 2014, he was nominated for RCC’s Young Entrepreneur Award. His desire is to see his clients expand geographically and last generationally. This is why he believes that brands are the marriage between creativity and business. Together, they romance culture and society by proclaiming a hopeful message and a brighter future.

Moving forward, he is focused on writing his first book on branding. Through this book, he hopes to guide other designers to brand start-ups.
